SAP’s FKOM or Field Kick-Off Meeting is an annual event for SAP’s account executives, sales managers, professional services, marketing, product development, and PARTNERS. SAP typically reorganizes its sales and delivery teams in December, so this meeting in Las Vegas in late January is the first opportunity to meet with Account Executives and Client Partners to review their new client lists for the year. It is also a major new product announcement forum, so it is a great opportunity for us to compare notes on our own IP development and ensure we are in alignment with SAP’s internal investments.

Pick a tool for a picky app – Functional test automation is on everyone’s list these days for any software development implementation, especially when using Agile practices. We all want to increase quality in our software product by testing earlier and more often so what’s the best functional test tool for you? There are many factors to consider when selecting an appropriate test automation tool from corporate technical direction, current inventory of tools, worker skills and more. “Help me, help you”- a famous quote from Jerry Maguire that I find especially true when it comes to our clients. Arcsona’s consultative approach to partnering with our customers has provided a level of trust necessary for a successful engagement, allowing us to help them reach their goals. I lead the Load and Performance Test Practice at Arcsona, and have led a number of engagements that demonstrate the depth and versatility of our Load and Performance test team. Whether we are coming in for just a few weeks or throughout a long-term deployment, we are able to add value at every step. Please take a moment to read a few short paragraphs, on how we have helped our clients with successful implementations.

FREE Salesforce Apps can be a great way to add highly useful capabilities to your Salesforce implementation with minimal effort and cost. If you don’t like them, you can always uninstall them at no cost to your organization. Salesforce’s AppExchange has tons of apps. And now Salesforce, in a great blog post from earlier this year, is reporting there are over 800 free apps available in the AppExchange. While there are many good articles out there discussing the value you can find from AppExchange apps, this article is specifically about 5 free AppExchange Apps that I think can offer immediate value for your Salesforce Org.

In my career as performance engineer, I’ve tested many applications including SAP, PeopleSoft, Web applications, SOAP & JSON web services, .NET and Java applications, databases, Citrix, etc…, but definitely one of the most challenging and exciting applications has been SAP Mobile On-Site Billing. This innovative system not only challenged my performance testing abilities but my programming skills as well.

When we set our 2014 goals at the end of 2013 I did not think it was possible to accomplish all of the things that we set out to do. As I look back at the year I realize not only did we accomplish them, we surpassed them. Arcsona’s culture has always been based on working hard, working smart, and being creative. We want the “hard stuff”. We want projects, and problems that stretch our employees to do their best work, but also come up with creative solutions to make the “hard stuff” seem easy.

Automated testing is one of the key delivery pillars at Arcsona. As we have evolved, so has the primary suite of applications we use as the platform for our automated testing accelerators, and for test management in general. With the release of HP’s ALM version 11.0, Quality Center has been retired. Taking its place is a very robust, reliable and scalable solution for the complete application lifecycle management process. As HP highlights on its web page: “HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) Solutions provide the insight and automation to drive the modern application lifecycle from idea to delivery faster without compromise. So you can deliver amazing apps across devices with quality, velocity and confidence.”
